Big-dog parkrun-care
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Acton Junior parkrun in Ealing.
- Sunday, 8th of October 2023
- Led by Sevan
GoodGym gave another big helping hand at Acton Junior parkrun today. We had 5 GoodGymers across different roles, including Rohan, who marshalled at his first ever parkrun π.
Joanna was also marshalling around the course ππ£, with Chikako as the VI Guide π¦ΊπββοΈ. Divya and Sevan were at the funnel, where they were handing out finish tokens π« and barcode scanning to record times π respectively, congratulating the 50 runners after they'd crossed the finish line.
The only dramas of the day thankfully didn't involve any GoodGymers. The first incident was that the frontrunners took the wrong route between marshal points 2 and 3, then a big black labrador wandered out in front of the second place runner, forcing them to take avoiding action. Despite this, they still managed to achieve a PB!
We'll be back at Acton Junior parkrun on the second Sunday of November, which will be the 12th.
