13 Epic Westminster GoodGymers ran 7k to help St Andrews Youth Club while smashing out a quality fitness feast!
Welcoming GoodGym first timers *Kieren and Nadine * to the party we got cracking with an extended run out to Green Park where we mobilised into action!
Starting with some press ups to test core, upper body, numeracy and how well you know your name!
Before we got rolling with a 4 round game of Tag and Return powering to some very close finishes over our 250 metre hilly grass loop. Before finishing with 3 laps in a tough staggered lap race to the finish!!
With plenty of pace and distance in the legs we took it steady finishing off the route to St Andrews Youth Club where we picked up our cleaning gear and headed to the gym for though spring clean! Our volunteering a St Andrews makes a huge difference to the upkeep of the site and allows the very limited funding to be directed to continuing the great work providing amazing activities for the young people of Westminster.
20 minutes of cleaning action including some soulful singing to the gym music had the place looking great!! With a little time we smashed out a 10 minute Core Blast really engaging stabilising muscles!
With the body well worked we took a relaxed run back to base where we stretched out and headed home with a top evening of GoodGym fun under our belts!!
Have a great week and see you again for another GoodGym adventure next Wednesday with drinks afterwards for everyone who fancies joining us!
Smooth Running
