Whippet the new recruits into colour
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Hogsmill Community Garden in Kingston upon Thames.

What a gorgeous morning to welcome a whole bunch of new volunteers to the secret community garden, tucked nicely behind King Athlestan school, along the Hogsmill River. Finding it was the first challenge, remembering the colour coordination of the whippets to be planted was the next.
This obviously presented no challenge for us, as before not too long we were done and looking around for more work. A large area of weeds was the obvious choice and a perfectly sized challenge for us to handle. Brian, the task owner, showed off his worm farm, and proudly dug through the rotting fruit bin to find some of his plump and juicy red worms.
Before we knew it, 2 hours were up and lunchtime in the pub for some beckoned. Thanks for all who turned up, really great to meet a whole bunch of you for the first time, I really dig your style!
