Daubeney Fields Forever

After being labeled the best task ever we headed back to see if it was a one off lol... It most definitely wasn't.
16 brave souls headed off into the darkness to find some light and boy oh boy did we find it.
Our plan.... A 3km run to East Homerton, to help the Daubeney Fields Forever team clear a large patch of land of weeds and moss.
Normally one for back streets we stuck to the main road grouped together discussing the week so far and wondering how long it would be before our fearless leader arrived. Apparently a flat tyre had delayed him, but it was my belief that he had heard about the cake, biscuits and hot drinks that would be provided at the end of the task so wanted to get there before us for the fine dining experience.....
Anyhow, we arrived in one piece, greeted with smiles as usual and set about cleaning and dragging weeds and bushes from their temporary homes. We were given all of the necessaries, a dream for any true goodgymer... Rakes, high viz vest, gloves, torches, shovels and a lot of LOVE.
We made light work of the task and set about demolishing all the goodies that had been provided for us.
We had a quick debrief, said thankyou then headed back to our beautiful home. Some drills, some high knees and little bit of sprinting. Did we have a good nigh? Of course we did.
See you next week ;-)
