Do you, Latoya, take these mattresses...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.
- Wednesday, 11th of March 2020
It was a sunny lunchtime when Latoya spotted a lost GoodGymer and scared her by running up to her on the street in London- lovely to see you too Latoya!! Once with Latoya, we set about trying to find Mr F's flat - harder than it sounds, as there were three different sites with the same name and flat numbers!! Nightmare!
After a bit of Google magic and a chat with a stranger over the intercom, we made it to the right flat where we met up with a worker from the British Red Cross, who was there to help us.
Once upstairs, we realised how big the task was - boxes piled up to our heads and our task was to make them even taller by clearing space to allow Mr F home from hospital. We set to work and 30 minutes later, there was a clear space for the hospital bed being delivered tomorrow. Success.
On our way down to the ground floor to put the mattresses out for collection, Latoya said that she has no time for a relationship as she is too busy with GoodGym - serious commitment to the mattresses!! We got some very odd looks getting the mattress and bed down in the lift unaccompanied but soon we were done and Latoya and I wondered into the midday sun, attempting not to get run over while crossing the road.
Mission accomplished!
