Doing the Can-can
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Bexley Food Bank in Bexley.

It was raining. Hard. 🌨🌨🌨
But the wet and grey weather was no match for GoodGymers Gemma, Peter, Johnny and Sarah as they helped Gill and her regular volunteers at Bexley Foodbank.
First, there were crates of canned beans and pasta to be carried across the yard from one building to another in a stock rotation that ensures food is dispatched in the right order according to its best before date. We moved fast so the provisions didn't get too wet.
Then two vans arrived and we set about loading them with crates of provisions for onward delivery to local distribution centres. Loaded to the gunwales they set off and our job was done.
With recent media reports that demand for food banks is still extremely high, it's humbling to be able to lend our support. And with all that walking, lifting and carrying, our sessions at the Bexley Foodbank certainly live up to GoodGym's 'do good get fit' tag-line!
