Don't chicken out on me
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Friday, 3rd of April 2020
It was a cloudy and somewhat fresh Friday afternoon when I popped down to Ms M's, tasked with the mission of getting some essential shopping for her and her son. The list was neither long nor complicated, but having done a few shopping missions by now, I've come to realise that little detail about the items sometimes actually makes it more tricky to know what to buy.
Today was such an example, with the first item on the shopping list just simply saying "chicken". Faced with a very well stocked shelf at the supermarket (where are the stockpilers when you need them?), I spent a good 10 minutes debating whether to buy chicken breasts, chicken thighs, chicken drumsticks or a whole chicken. Having decided that a whole bird would probably give more options to Ms M's cooking skills, I then had to decide on the already-seasoned-in-a-bag versus the "au naturel" version.
Fifteen minutes later and I had finally bought all that was included in the list. I just hope that my chicken decision turned out to be the sage one!

I would have had the same chicken dilemma! Well done for problem solving, Marta :)
