'Easel'y Does It
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Wednesday, 22nd of November 2017
A cold Wednesday evening saw James and I meeting up for the first time in a while; we were fairly regular Mission crew members last month so it was good to catch up. Location was an old tenement block near Exmouth Market, a former brewery dating from the 1700s according to Mr P, our host for the evening.
The job was fairly straightforward - Mr P wanted to swap a chest of drawers from is flat with an artist' easel from the building basement so that he could 'polish' his painting skills. A simple mandate but one that involved navigating four flights of stairs and rearranging Mr P's lock-up, which was full of distressed furniture in various conditions. In a former life he was a restorer so there was some interesting stuff down there.
Half an hour of a good muscle workout later and the swap was complete, which was a great relief to Mr P. Given the amount of woodwork he owns, I'd not be surprised if GoodGym ware called upon again quite soon.
