31 people ran 5 km to get fit for Hackney
It was a beautiful evening and we started off with a faced paced 5km around London fields and Victoria park to Netil house. Luckily we were segregated into speed groups so everyone got to go at their own pace while still pushing themselves within the team.
Arriving at Netil house, fellow runners were already sprinting down the stairs with arms full of debris for the skip. It was about eight flights to the roof, where a big pile of rubbish was waiting to be cleared. It only took about fifteen minutes of rapid work to clear all the rubbish into the skip, and after that an intense core session in pairs finished off the hard work.
Our reward was a gentle stretch on top of the building watching the sun set over East London before a gentle jog back to Coffee is my cup of tea, where Ade was presented with an amazing cake as it's GoodGym Hackney's and her birthday! Everyone sung happy birthday with their legs up on various lampposts before we finished stretching and got to tuck into cake!
Another fantastic good run.
