Fries & shine
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.
- Saturday, 18th of April 2020
Mrs A is self-isolating in Southall and needed help to get a few items from the big Tesco Extra nearby. Having collected her list and £20, I made my way to the store and was happy to be allowed to bypass the queue when I showed my GG shirt and letter. The queue looked to be at least an hour long so I was quite relieved to skip it, especially as my phone was too low on juice to allow me to finish my podcast and still be able to use google maps to get back to Mrs A and then home.
Mrs A only asked for 5 things in her £20 limit, but as the list included mainly bulky and heavy items (including 2x 6-pint flagons of green top milk) I was glad I brought a rucksack and strong shoulder bag to get everything back to her. I was also grateful she asked for McCain french fries, and that there was a bit of sunshine on my trip, or I’d really have struggled to come up with a pun...
The shopping miraculously came to exactly £20 so I grabbed the receipt and headed back to Mrs A, who was over the moon that I’d been able to get everything she needed.

Nice work JP. That's a pretty heavy load of milk there.
