Getting Limber with Timber
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Luton and Dunstable Conservation Volunteers, Friends of Leagrave Park, and Luton Borough Council Parks and Countryside in Luton.
- Sunday, 28th of August 2022
- Led by David Mansfield
Four Goodgymmers got together with the Luton and Dunstable Conservation Volunteers and the Friends of Leagrave Park to have another go at recovering some grassland from encroaching scrub and making this corner of the park a more welcoming area for a stroll.
We got the bow saws going for an upper body workout on the crowded overgrown blackthorn trees, we got the legs working too by dragging all the branches out to the roadside. Adding on some litter picking and junk removal, we left this area in a much lighter, cleaner state than we found it and a brilliant transformation from the overgrown rubbish dump it used to be!
