Giving Ivy's Footprints the Brush-Off
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Derby.
- Tuesday, 17th of September 2024
When Gwyn and Tracey last visited Mrs O, we cleared a lot of ivy from the fence. Unfortunately, there were trails left where the pesky plant had gripped the wood, and this looked unsightly.
Today, we were able to make a start on putting it right, painting those two marked fence panels, and freshening up a couple of others with a huge tub of paint, organised by Mrs O's daughter.
It was a lovely bright day for a bike ride, and the garden is a sun-trap, so we had a really enjoyable time painting in the warmth. We were especially blessed, as we didn't have to clean the brushes - this was done for us by Mrs O's companion, Miss B, who is a lady of many talents.
