Soggy Bottoms
On Wednesday it rained. Hard. For about 6 hours. 14 hardcore goodgymers, sporting soggy bottoms, arrived at Somers Town Community Centre for a run.
We ran north, through the last of the inclement weather, to Castlehaven Community Centre. Luckily as we arrived the rain eased and we set about our task unimpeded.
Don't leaf it in the oven too long
The job was pretty simple. Autumn has quite clearly arrived and the leaves have begun to fall from the trees. They're great to throw on a bed when decomposed but in there current state they're covering plants and preventing nutrients getting to the soil. We needed to rake 'em, and bag 'em up ready to be composted.
Runny mixture
With 12 hardy runners it was an easy job and we filled up a good 20 bags with delicious leafy goodness.
We set off for the run home, heading to the canal where we split into two groups; those who wanted a hard blast and those whose wet feet couldn't take any more punishment. We met back at Somers Town and popped to the pub- celebrating my last run as a non married man! Oink
