The intrepid GoodGym Bristol crew braved the threat of impending rain to complete their latest run and task. Despite pouring rain at 6pm we met at our new base Roll for the Soul at 6.30. After a short stop to hand out some brand new GoodGym t-shirts we headed out to our task.
We set a brisk pace along the harbour, gromit spotting and dodging some fire engines putting out a fire on the way to Ashton Court!
This week’s task was ‘Balsam Bashing’ in Ashton Court – pulling up Himalayan Balsam – an alien invasive species that pushes out other species and reduces biodiversity. This was a really great task, the plants pull out with a satisfying pop!
We headed back by running to the top of Ashton Court, over the suspension bridge and then back down through Clifton to Roll for the Soul, pausing briefly to admire a Golden Gromit!
Overall a great run and task, and the rain even stayed away.
