Last night's run was to a new task for most of us - Albion Millennium Green is a people-powered green space in Forest Hill that encourages biodiversity and community.
We met at the Bridge House, explained our favourite museum/gallery to visit, and then hit the road for the 2.4km-ish jog to our task.
We'd been instructed to remove some weeds, which were thankfully dying, from the path by the railway. It was clearly well used as we had lots of people walking past saying thanks and asking what we were doing!
There were plenty of leaves and weeds to get rid of including some tall ones and some small ones and lots of nettles (I don't think anyone got stung?!). We ended up with a massive pile which we shifted onto an even massive-r pile (see pics).
Jorella from the Albion friends group came and said hello and checked we were doing the right thing. She was very grateful for our help!
Nice one everybody!
