Hit the nail on the shed!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bournemouth.
- Saturday, 15th of July 2017
Today's mission was to help out with some tasks in the garden for Ms K who needed help with fixing up and painting her shed. Meeting at Flirt Cafe Neil & Daryl headed down through Bournemouth gardens and along to Coy Pond before surfacing at Surrey Road for a final run to Branksome Rec.
Arriving at the location we were soon put to work moving some heavy plant pots and boxes of roof tiles so we could relocate some ladders out of the way. The shed needed a fresh coat of paint so we got to work giving it the once over (see before and after pics!) and it was soon looking much better. We fixed new batons on to the window where the old one was rotten and broken in half and once painted looked like it had always been there!
Moving on into the rest of the garden the second shed needed a bit of attention. Daryl got to work reattaching some panels on one side whilst Neil sorted out some old chip board that needed breaking up. Luckily where it had gotten wet the board broke up fairly easily so was bagged up and ready to tip fairly quickly. Daryl finished off by tapping in some of the nails on the shed roof to make sure it would stay rain proof and after saying our goodbyes we were off.
Following the same route we headed back through the gardens towards town and home!
