John saved the day tonight, having us round to the tower for some vegetation removal at the last minute. What a hero.
Most of us met at the Bridge House for a wee jog up through the park. We shared our fave weeds (bluebells are a weed?!) and did a quick warm up.
At the tower, we met Helen and Izzy and John, who gave us a bunch of tools. After a good stint last week getting rid of most of the big stuff, this week's group absolutely smashed through all corners of the tower (it's actually a cylinder - so no corners or infinity corners??). We removed weeds, brambles (a weed) and more weeds.
Catherine shared a true bombshell - turns out people from the weird land of Dartford call woodlice 'cheesy bugs'. I guess they ate them to find out.
In the end, the floor was covered in plants, or would have been if Ian hadn't been there to scoop them up.
Nice work team, and lovely little sprints to finish. 🔥
