Jeepers (virginia) creepers!

4 GoodGymers ran to Elizabeth Place to meet Mrs J who had brought an assortment of excellent clippers and hedge trimmers so we could cut back the large hedge which was wildly overgrown. There were Virginia Creepers galore and we hacked away to make the area neat and tidy. Louise targeted those pesky sycamore saplings and did a great job too! We filled quite a few rubbish bags with a whole load of weird stuff we found in the hedge - including a license plate and a helium canister! We found dozens of snails hiding under the hedge and watched them all hurry (as fast a snail can do that) back to the shelter of the darker areas. The whole area looked a lot better afterwards and we even got a few cheers from passers-by, congratulating us on make the local community area tidy and manageable for future gardening sessions!
