Let's stain together
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the Canals and Rivers Trust in Leicester.

Six is the magic number across the country at the moment and it was six GoodGymmers who turned out this morning to continue our work along the canal between Belgrave Lock and Abbey Park.
Ashley and Nick ran down from Watermead Park, Jen ran from home, Elena ran upriver from the city while Huw did some pre task laps around the Abbey Park Oval.
Armed with our woodstain, brushes and newly inherited litter picking bin bag rings we got to work. In 2019 we'd stained around 200m of the wooden sleepers over a number of visits. Today we smashed our record for a single visit with the five stainers racking up a whopping 57m section while Huw made himself useful flitting between litter picking and cutting back vegetation and clearing the sleepers in preparation for the staining crew coming through.
Jen added a bonus good deed on her run home getting stuck into some overhanging vegetation on a path en route!
Cracking work everyone.
