I think this is the first time in over three years we’ve done a weekend community mission featuring Charlotte, where it hasn’t rained! It was a lovely morning for our regular litter pick at the top of the Byker Cycleway. It was also the debut of our new litter pickers which were absolutely splendid and did the job- I still managed to pour the contents of two cans of beer down my leg though.
The combination of the England match, the Gateshead 10k and general Sunday morning stuff meant we were low on numbers today, so we cleared the top car park and managed to fill two bags in less than an hour. A run/walk (cycle for me) back to the quayside topped off a super start to the day.
