Long Past Your Bed’s Time

Two runners got their day off to a positive start with a good deed for Mrs E. Her bed needed to be dismantled and removed in time for her new one arriving. It turned out the bed was nearly 30 years old. It had definitely served her well but was time to be replaced.

The mattress was first to go, and we left it wait patiently by the lift while we took the rest of the bed apart. With the help of Mrs E’s son, it took us no time at all. And our work was met with approval from Mrs E. herself who came through to make the final inspection. The only comment was about the 30 years of dust our work had revealed!

To finish the job, all that was left was to take the mattress, two divan parts and 4 underbed drawers down in the lift and stack the parts neatly for the Council to collect. This part of the task was met with the approval of the estate maintenance man and we left happy with a good job done well.
