(M)asking For A Friend
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 29th of December 2018
Ridiculously nice weather out, isn't it? The lovely Mr. F needed a little assistance in putting some finishing touches to his new flat and making it feel a little more like home. Patrick and Steve needed to run off some of those mince pies and festive beers and willingly obliged. Unfortunately, the third pillar of this dream team, Rosie A was under the weather and unable to join us (but did provide an ace pun below). Get well soon Rosie!
The Masked Hall
Mr. F greeted us and helped move a couple of final pieces of furniture before we got to work - today's mission was to mask the hallway and get it ready for the council to come and paint it.
Capers with Tapers, Taskers with Maskers
Did we mention Mr. F is lovely? He chatted to us throughout our time as we masked the ceiling, skirting boards, door frames and light switches. He insisted we have a cuppa and some cake when we reached halfway and couldn't have been more thankful as we finished the final stretches and bid him goodbye.
During this time of year, missions can mean a lot more to people than just a thing that needs fixing or a garden that needs tidying. Check out your area's Mission Selector ASAP to bring some festive cheer to your neighbours!
