Mow It All
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.

Kash and Sevan were back at Mr R's house 5 months after their last visit to cut the grass and weed the flower beds again. They remembered from the last visit that Mr R's petrol powered mower needed a special technique to start it. Levers and handles needed to be in the right configuration and they couldn't remember what that was.
Kash took control of the mower while Sevan searched for the manual. Mr R had his own opinions on how to fire up the engine, which Kash and Sevan remembered were wrong last time they visited. As they followed the steps from the manual, Mr R gave them conflicting instructions, as if he knew it all. After following the "Operating the mower" steps, Sevan got the engine going and grass cutting commenced.
While Kash focused on the grass, Sevan was asked to delay the weeding and get Mr R's laundry inside. It did feel like it could rain at any moment, so the washing line was cleared with towels and sheets leave no chance of them becoming wet again.
Weeding was fairly straightforward as the flowerbeds were mostly weeds. A few tulips and some rose bushes, surrounded by giant dandelions and other low growing undesirables. Sevan worked away on one flowerbed, soon joined by Kash after the grass had been cut. By the end of the task, one side of the garden was weed free and Kash had made a start on the opposite side too, with 4 bags of garden waste filled.
