New Year's Re-Stoke-lutions!
5 GoodGymers made their way 10km to help their local community in Bristol.

This Saturday, GoodGym Bristol did a little bit extra. As well as the usual group run, a small group of keen runners who couldn't wait until 11am to start doing good today met up for a community mission!
Shona, Alex, Ady, Zdeni and Julie joined Friends of Stoke Park, who meet the first Saturday every month to pick up litter around the Dower House (also known as the Custard Castle!). Friends of Stoke Park had been informed about a large amount of litter on the gun emplacements in Purdown, so Ady led everyone to the emplacements by the BT Tower and we got to work!
It was clear that a lot of litter was left about from various parties. Among our findings were a shopping basket, a keg still partially full of what was hopefully cider, and many, many bottles, cans & disposable barbecues.
After filling four bin bags (plus placing the keg in the shopping basket), the five of us went our separate ways. Shona carried on with her Green Man training, Alex went to wait for the group runners at Mud Dock, and everyone else went home with one more good deed under their belt.
Bye for now Friends of Stoke Park! I'm sure we'll be back another first Saturday of the month!
