Nobody puts GoodGym in the corner
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Wednesday, 19th of August 2020
Runners Amy and Becca were last minute sign ups to today's mission in Archway. We were met by Ms L's daughter who quickly joined in the action as we figured out how on earth we were going to get a double bed down two flights of narrow, twisting stairs (with the extra challenge of a double handrail) and outside to the collection point in the drizzle. With the help of a 2p and careful manoeuvring we first got the mattress down - which very much proved to be a three person job, followed by the base in two parts. No broken mirrors, lamps or people, and only one occasion where Amy got pinned in the corner by the mattress, it was a successful display of girl power. A relatively quick missions, but one that definitely wouldn't have been possible alone and proved to be a great workout for body and brain.
