Nothing gets left between the cracks when Goodgym saints go marching in
5 GoodGymers made their way 2.0km to help the St Pauls and St Augustines Worship Centre in Leicester.
- Tuesday, 28th of August 2018
- Led by David Snutch
The Famous five grouped at DMU. Due to the chief tool chauffeur taking a tumble at the Blackpool 10km on Saturday, Trainer Dave took Mel and the tools to the task. Jimmy had sourced the task so it was fitting that he led the way to St Peters and St Augustines Church Hall. On arrival, the famous four ( Mel was armless)! were soon hard at work getting rid of moss and weeds that had grown between the paving slabs. Stu had some great tools from the £1 shop, (who needs B&Q!)to get right in between the slabs to drag the weeds out. We were joined by Dave King who gave us some background about the original church and then soon set to work sweeping up the weeds. Mel still had use in her clicking finger so was able to capture some action shots. Light refreshments bought the task to an end and the famous four did a short circuits session before they ran back to base. Before we had arrived home Trainer Dave had received a grateful thanks text message from Dave King to say how pleased he was and impressed by the task being completed in such a short timescale.
