12 wonderful runners completed a little run and a huge task tonight in Ealing!
It was great to see Clara, Sara, Sam and Miranda all back for a second time!
Our run may have been short this evening but we definitely packed a punch when it came to our work on the task at hand. This week we headed to Hestia in Ealing to help paint and clean a couple of resident rooms at the centre.
On arrival we were met by task owner Sandra and shown the space that needed work but after exceeding expectations on the size of the group we were given a bonus room to work on too. We quickly split into two groups and all got stuck straight in! As we ticked off the jobs to be done, with the limited space to work in and many hands on offer we took it in turns to get everything finished and swapped out regularly with wall sit squats in between to squeeze in an extra little workout. We also hoovered and swept along the way and when we came to leave a massive difference could be seen!
We finished up our evening with a team plank challenge but with everyone proving far too good the opposing teams had to/were encouraged to resort to dirty tactics. Overall winner was definitely Clara who I think left to it could have stayed in that plank all night and with great form too!
With it being the first Tuesday of the month we then headed to a nearby pub for our social, it was great to see so many of you come along afterwards! Hopefully see you all next week :)
