Picking up groceries and injuries
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Thursday, 7th of May 2020
A last minute mission after a fellow goodgymer got sick sent me running off into deepest Hackney. I choose a lovely green (but busy) route via Finsbury Park, Stoke Newington Reservoir and Clissold Park before hitting the main roads. Unfortunately hitting them slightly too hard, as a recurring knee injury returned after a slight twist. Tried to carry on running, but in the end switched to a sunny walk for the last bit through Hackney Central. Picked up the list and money and found a cut through to Tesco. After a quick whip (hobble) round the vegetables I was back on Mrs M's door step. She was incredibly grateful to have GoodGym's support and I hope it makes her isolation a little easier. Thankfully I was able to get a lift home and get stretching out this darn IT band!
