Playground Pursuits
13 GoodGymers made their way 6km to help their local community in Hackney.
- Tuesday, 23rd of September 2014
Last night 10 of us (minus Andy and Andreana, who went to clear a garden for a nice lady in Upper Clapton) ran to Homerton Adventure Playground to do various different tasks: building a sandpit, clearing a drainage ditch, and filling in the mulch for a swing area.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Sarah and the playground team, and they pitched in with us. We all agreed it was a playground we would have loved to have visited as children (or even now!).
Despite nearly being run over by the Victoria Park Harriers, we then completed a round of sprints in Wells Street Common before completing a steady run back to Coffee is My Cup of Tea.
Well done everyone! *Will Dowsett
