Post the leaflets, don't SPEAR them!
6 GoodGymers made their way 5.5km to help the SPEAR leafletting campaign in Kingston upon Thames.

Six of us Goodgymers met to help SPEAR on their mission to reduce chronic illness in the homeless/asylum seeker community by posting information to local pharmacies and healthcare providers. However, a bag of envelopes and a 5km route seemed to be not quite enough for our hardy group. Fortunately we had a stash of leaflets that Bruce had previously given us so we spilt the group and went in separate directions.
Rachel and Tara tackled the local walking route - determined to find the list of addresses we were given we came a cropper when some of the buildings lacked letterboxes and others were boarded up. We didn't let that deter us and we carried on posting where we could - through shutter grills and under doors. A few envelopes were left over at the end - too late for us to enter the Bentall Centre - so Rachel offered to go the next day when it was open.
Dave, Claire, Sevan and Tom headed to Surbiton to post hundreds of fundraising leaflets and promote the good work that SPEAR do for the homeless community. 6 of the river roads were done in an hour even with a short pause to check the Wimbledon updates. After admiring the lovely streets and large converted buildings covered in wisteria, they ran back so we could compare notes on our separate missions.
Great work, team! Off to celebrate in The Albion for our monthly social.
