Pre-‘pear’ing, Shedding, Itching and Scratching
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Redbridge.

Most observed 'active travel' but not trusting the weather for cycling Linda drove. Julia ran to task arrving to a chorus of "Happy Birthday", Jem walked and Peter braved the bike ride like the true Dutchman he is.
Early arrivals Jem and Linda soon got started on the task of weeding round the Pear Trees and were shortly joined by Julia. Pete arrived to assess if the lopsided shed is repairable or terminable, the verdict is boarder line but maybe worth a go.
Thankfully the weather held, we got what we wanted done plus a bit more and apart from the usual gardening minor hazards of a scratched arm and an irritating red ant bite everything went smoothly. We finished with some ginger cookies supplied by Julia to celebrate her birthday.
There is a lot of work to do there maybe a weekend mission is called for. Watch this space 😊
