Pulling Our Bunches
6 GoodGymers made their way 10.0km to help the Luton Borough Council Parks and Countryside in Luton.
- Wednesday, 26th of October 2022
- Led by David Mansfield
We had a decent 5k run out to Limbury and the Catbrook, where this little corner of grassland was playing host to some invasive plant species that Trevor, the council's ecologist, wanted clearing ASAP.
With the plants uprooted, the area will be mown and next year there will be much less of these problematic plants, making space for rarer native plants to establish themselves.
On the run back into town we did some interval runs to fire up the muscles in advance of the Luton half marathon this weekend, that several of the team will be taking on.
