Rail-er Swift
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Friday, 2nd of August 2019
A lunchtime mission with Oli in Hackney brought me back to the doorstop of Mrs R, for whom I'd previously done a mission last January.
Our task today was to assemble a clothing rail for Mrs R in order that she can organise her things more easily. Aside from generally hoping that this would be a quick mission (work/lunch), I felt confident that Oli would make it so, given his efficiency during our last mission.
After asking Mrs R if she was happy for me to take photos of Oli doing all of the work (she was), I simply stood back and snapped/chatted. It was good to see Mrs R being more energetic and to hear about all of the things she's being trying to do around the house. Probably as a direct result of my laissez-faire approach to missions (and not at all a result of Oli's sterling work in assembling the rail within 10 minutes), Mrs R kindly gave us a bottle of non-alcoholic wine as we finished, which I promptly claimed.
It was fun "working" with you, Oli - see you at the Olympics tomorrow! 😄
