Ran Hackney
9 GoodGymers made their way 15km on a training session in Hackney.
- Sunday, 17th of April 2016
10am Sunday morning and 10 eager runners descended upon the E5 Bakehouse to run 8, 9 or maybe even 10 miles.
After a quick warm up on London Fields we were off down to the canal and heading towards Limehouse basin. Once there we pounded along Limehouse Cut to the Queen Elizabeth Park and after a quick lap of the Olympic Stadium we were at Hackney Wick and heading home through Victoria Park.
So how far are we actually running, is it 8 or 10 miles?
I can now tell you: 8.97 miles in 1 hour, 23 minutes and 42 seconds
Excellent work all round and a special shout to Mohammed who ran further than he ever had before and pipped us all to the finish line.
3 weeks to go until Run Hackney, see you on the starting line.
