Refiving Acton's Broken Gear
5 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help the Reduce and Recycle Hub at Acton Market in Ealing.

On a changeable day of weather, 5 of us, Kash, Ben, Divya, Jenni and Sevan braved the conditions to promote the April edition of Acton's Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Hub.
Kash, Ben and Sevan ran from Bodyline and waited for the others at the starting point of the task. A young salesman thought this would be a good opportunity to try and chat to us about running and sell us some Apple Airpod Pros out of his backpack. We each decided to pass. Little did he know that we were packing our own pairs of headphones. We slipped them on and boogied down to Ben's favourite, The Eurythmics, while the entrepreneur walked away disappointed.
Soon after, Divya arrived, then Jenni and as the group grew, the dancing stopped and we got down to business. We divided the leaflets into somewhat equal sized batches and headed off to the streets north of Morrisons to spread the word. We worked along each street, leapfrogging each other to efficiently deliver the leaflets.
Like an estate agent, each of us was hoping to hit the jackpot... a house that had been split into multiple flats. Not to rent them out at sky high fees, rather where we could drop a load of fliers in one go. It turned out that there weren't too many of these on our route tonight. Too bad.
After an hour, we'd delivered the full allocation of 500 fliers, which was a super impressive achievement and we headed home, happy that we'd helped the community and hit our daily step goals.
