I really should be admonished. Or chastised. Or berated. Or worse.
Because this report is so late. Even Sue Gray would say this report is too delayed.
But anyway, less introspection, and more litter picking. Because that is what this lovely group spent their Wednesday evening doing.
We met in the pre-storm (yet warm) winds outside Charlton House. And we the split into three bag-laden and litter-pick-clad groups - one took 'the big ditch' on Haha Road, one took the face-mask-strewn grounds of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and the other took to Charlton Park Lane.
It always amazes me just how much you can pick and collect in a little over 40 minutes. We finished with 5-6 full bin bags, which were both a little depressing (why do people drop the things they don't want?) and heartening (because we've made our community that little bit nicer).
Nice one, guys.
