Retail therapy & a good deed
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

Ms M is isolating with her son and she requested GG for help with some grocery shopping. Once in Asda Superstore had to call her to discuss some more of the substitutes and she was very reliable by offering live assistance over the phone. Although I enjoy grocery shopping quite a lot I am very slow & clumsy when it comes to spot certain items on the shelf, however Ms M was very specific about her shopping list which helped quite a lot with the time I spent there. Unfortunately she blocked my number in error and I couldn't get through for a good 15-20 mins until she actually realised it & unblocked me, however this gave me time to liaise with a helpful shop assistant and get some of the requested items straight from the warehouse stock room. Had to make another stop at a Tesco Extra to get the last 2 items on the list then made my way to Ms M place where I handed out the bags with goodies and the receipts.
Ms M was very grateful & I encouraged her to reach out to GG again should she be in real need.
After a long long long long wait due to various reasons I can finally state - Mission accomplished! 👍🏼
