Rubble, rubble, soil and trouble
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Southdene, Hanover Housing Association in Huddersfield.

- Led by Kati Law
This evening four GoodGymmers ventured out into the Huddersfield drizzle to help the residents of Southdene housing for the over sixties clear some ground ready for some raised beds to be built. GoodGym encourages participants to travel to Community Missions using the power of their own legs and today GoodGym Huddersfield managed one cyclist and two runners. Please note, breaking a GoodGym habit that I wasn’t the person who drove! After some quick introductions, Shirley, one of the residents showed us what needed to be done and with some help from Martin and Ann, also residents, we quickly set to work speedily filling bags with rubble and sticks. In a mere 30 minutes the task was finished and just as the heavens really opened we made our way to the communal dining area for some tea, coffee and cakes. Yes folks, cakes! Hopefully we will be able to return to Southdene in the next few months to help residents with the next step of their garden refurbishment project. Thank you to Saul for the report title.

Well done all! I meant to come but forgot!
Thanks for organising this one, Kati. It was really nice to work with others in the community as well as the good gym runners and they were so welcoming, enjoyed the evening and the run.
