With the clocks going forward what a treat to meet in the daylight. Jake, Sian and Lucien all turned up at the runners meeting point having sprinted there! Laura and Heetu, as part of their Manchester Marathon Relay training. had run 2 miles before the start of the group run.
The runners ran via the steps of the cathedral - some keen spirited of the group taking the steps two at a time and over to the task. Pauline and Eileen both arrived on their bikes - no mean feat as the meeting point was the top of a hill.
John from Friends Of Everton Park gave us a warm welcome and we set about cutting down a large amount of saplings. John explained that they are self seeding and take over the land. As we worked we could see the Welsh hills in the distance and a glorious view of the city gradually the light started to dim and we realised we needed to head back.
Pauline had been doing a sterling job of taking photos in between lopping saplings and she managed to get a photo of Heetu modelling her new black Good gym T shirt - fifty tasks in the bag well done Heetu.
We waved goodbye to John and ran and cycled our ways home - well done to Heetu and Laura for completing 7 miles in total - all set for the relay,
