Saturday Morning Freezer
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Saturday, 6th of November 2021
Rupesh and I met up on a chilly Saturday morning to lend Mr E a hand to get a couple of bulky items out of his flat. We were sorry to hear that he’d had a leak from a flat above and had a bit of a dodgy back, so he was most grateful for our help. It was a pretty straightforward task to carry out an old sewing machine table, a fridge-freezer (generally not as heavy as you might think… certainly not compared to washing machines!) and shuffle around some boxes so that Mr E could go through their contents.
We were done in no time and on our way, although not before spotting Mr E’s pull up bar across his kitchen door; he even gave us a quick demo – most impressive, and definitely something for me to aspire to…
Great to meet you Rupesh, hope to catch you on another mission one day!
