Scrub-a-dub dub
13 GoodGymers made their way 4.0km to help their local community in Hackney.

13 soaked GoodGymers ran 4K to De Beauvoir Square to scrub the cast iron fencing smooth in preparation for painting on our next visit.
With payback rain in full effect for last weeks heat wave only the toughest made the start line this week! Heading out after Tom did some excellent GoodGym Hackney WhatsApp group recruiting on a 2.5k loop to the beautiful De Beauvoir Square.
Meeting a soggy Bruce the Hackney Park Ranger who had our tools lined up! With safety kit on we split up into groups to attack the flacky paint work on the cast iron fencing that surrounds the park.
Scrubbing away, smoothing the fencing out was tough work and although we couldn't zoom around the park perimeter we did a top job. With the entrances smooth our next visit at the end of July will be painting the fencing getting them looking sparkling.
With the team wet through we ran directly back to base picking up the pace to get warm again.
A stretch out and we were away to dry off and refuel.
Hope to see you all next week for the 2nd instalment of our Stamford Hill Well-being garden clearance!!
If you fancy some Thursday Fitness 4 All please meet me and the crew at Bethnal Green Underground at 6:45!
Have a great week
