Shopping for essentials

Armed with multiple shopping lists for elderly and vulnerable friends and neighbours I set out to Tesco in Warwick to shop for essentials. The first challenge was the police checkpoint set up on Emscote Road. Thankfully my pile of shopping lists on the passenger seat was sufficient for the friendly police officer to let me through and across the bridge to Tesco. Challenge two came in the form of finding everything on the lists, substituting where necessary and keeping all the different groups separate. Finally it was till time and the weary, but very kind, assistant didn’t object to me putting all the different orders through and paying for them separately. A big thank you to the police for keeping us safe, the staff at Tesco for ensuring there is still plenty of food to go around and, of course, all key workers whose tireless efforts keep us going through this crisis!
