Slim pickings.
22 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help their local community in Hackney.
- Tuesday, 17th of March 2015
The Hackney Good Gym team met at Superfit at 7.00pm and 22 brave souls ran 1.5 miles to Mabley Green.
On arrival we were met and briefed on the task at hand. Tonight we would be picking litter and helping to loosen up the soil to help give some of the precious and vulnerable flowers a better chance of surviving.
On mass we charged up and down at speed filling bag after bag after bag with trash trash and more trash.
After some hard graft we looked at our reflections in the now pristine soil.
Now for part two, we turned the soil by skipping, shuffling, dancing skanking and moon-walking across it which caused a lot of laughs!
With trainers a little dirtier than when we arrived we ran back to base in three separate groups, some danced, some ran and the rest flew.
Some of the team couldn't resist a quick St Paddy's pint at Pub on the Park afterwards.
All in all an amazing evening spent with some great people
