Sofa so Good
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

Vicky, Mitch and Laura helped Mr P's friend to get his house ready for him to come home from hospital. The first challenge was to move the sofa bed down to the bottom floor. It didn't look like it was going to fit through the door, past the cupboard and down the stairs at first but with a bit of maneuvering we managed it with no damage done. So far so good! The second challenge which looked easier to start with proved a bit more tricky. His friend had dismantled the wooden bed frame so we could move it from the top floor to the middle floor which made moving it easy. However, reassembling it was a lot more challenging. Every time we got some of the slats in others popped out. After trying it a few different ways we found a way that worked which took all four of us holding bits together and doing it in the right order. Finally the bed was reassembled and the final task was to move cupboard back and reattach it to the wall with the raw plugs and screws that were still attached. After a bit of maneuvering again we completed the task. Mr P's friend was very pleased with the result and he can now finish getting the house ready or his friend to come home.
