It was a little different at Bexley Goodgym this evening. Different in the fact that we were all power walkers tonight. We set up this theme so the London Marathon runners amongst us could come out and stretch their legs. This is always a great thing to do after and endurance event. Tonight was walk, talk and litter pick night............
On arrival the talk was all about the London Marathon. A big high five and hand shakes erupted as Nick arrived. He was our fastest runner coming in at just over 3 hours 30 mins. Thats an awesome time Nick. There was also congratulations and pats on the back for Peter who gave up his time to volunteer at the event.
We then waited for our two ladies Susan and Sarah, but the effects of the run must of been taking effect as they never arrived. Massive high five ladies, you are awesome and we are well proud of you here at Goodgym Bexley. It was now time to get the task done so with litter pickers in hand we set to work around the the sports centre before heading out to Danson Youth centre and the adult education centre where litter was in its plenty. With time still left we marched on down to the railway bridge which to be honest was pretty bad and definitely in need of the Goodgym touch.
Next week we have a leaflet drop for our friends at the Greenwich & Bexley Hospice so all hands on deck needed. Hope to see ya there. Tim
