Terrific Tetris
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Thursday, 23rd of May 2019
A sunny afternoon in Hackney was the lovely backdrop for Ramons first mission! (give him a cheer)
On paper, it seemed pretty straightforward, a two-seater sofa & a fridge-freezer were to be removed from the room and put outside for the council to collect... But as so often, reality didn't quite match the theory. The narrowness of the doorways and tight twists & turns in what could barely be called a hallway meant there was definitely a need for the right combination of muscle & tetris skills. Luckily for Mr F there is very little a GG team cannot accomplish when they put their mind to it, so with some inventive ideas (hint: most sofa feet are detachable!) and millimetre precision both the fridge as the sofa found their way outside - job done!
An energetic Ramon (he already run a few miles to the task) went off to the marshes for some drills, while Peter rode back to base to resume the days work, both pleased Mr F had some space to move around & improve his mobility!
