The early bird catches the pasta, milk, honey, soup, rice, pasta sauce...
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Redbridge Mutual Aid FoodBank in Redbridge.

The foodbank asked if we could come at 7 to load some food into vans at Aldi. That's 7am, not 7pm!
Luckily a few hardy Goodgymmers agreed to brave the early start before work and enjoy the peaceful early morning vibes. Kudos to Julia for cycling there and back, and James for cycling there. I was lazy and got the tube, but I do live further away, and needed to stay awake afterwards through a long day of meetings and presentations. I promise to try the hill on my bike next time. 😀
We were kept busy loading all manner of goods into the vans using the classic 'human chain' approach, and coming up with alternatives to wrapping all the fragile jars in clingfilm (not a fun task!). Genevieve made sure everyone was kept well nourished with muffins and kitkats. We even had time to have a look for Cuthbert (no sign unfortunately!). By 8.30 am we were all loaded up and ready to head home to start the working day. A very satisfying start to a Wednesday, well done everyone!
