The graveyard shift
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Sunday, 25th of November 2018
Here's what Ms Y of N19 had to say about the mission:
We heard from Ms Y who said the mission went really well and the runners were "all very, very nice", great job!
A biting grey morning in late November, the streets eerily quiet following the chaos of black Friday, three intrepid GoodGymers ventured forth to help Mrs Y fight off the jungle encroaching on her garden.
Despite one of the party suffering the grip of a cold, and a general sense of Winter Sunday malaise, the volunteers attacked the Triffids with mad abandon, dispatching vines left and right with terrifying efficiency.
Mrs Y was relentless in her efforts to keep our heroes consuming tea and biscuits, bringing much appreciated warmth to their limbs. Just as well as they had come ill equipped, sporting only a single pair of knee pads between them.
As the goodgymers finished their task they stopped for a chat with Mrs Y, who had lived on this spot since the 70's and pointed out that they were lucky to have only been digging up plants given the block was built on a cemetery. Our narrator wondered, it being his first run report whether anyone really made it his far through his tale...

Great work guys and I'm glad you didn't dig up any more than plants! I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure that would be against mission rules...
