By the end of the summer, one boy and one girl are selected as tributes from each of the 23 Ealing districts to compete in the annual Planter Games. The participants are entering closed arenas to fight to the death against invasive plants.

On the 9th of September 2023, there were only three surviving tributes left in the contest: Sevan and Kash from District W5 and Madhan from District W13. Their destiny was to fight their final battle in District UB6. They arrived there in the scorching sun from District UB2 where they entertained the public, displaying their strength by throwing heavy logs onto a stack.

The hosts of the District UB6 arenas, Mr R and Mrs I, had several trials for the contestants. They handed them four pieces of paper with a challenge written on each. The tributes refused one of the ordeals, arguing against using the forbidden weapons in the games.

Instead of splitting the remaining challenges equally between the tributes, Madhan and Kash decided to team up and entered the front arena where they faced a trial of an overgrown hedge that was swallowing up a driveway. The weapons Mr R supplied to the tributes were not good enough against the hedge and Madhan and Kash ran back to the arena entrance to hunt for better tools of destruction. Madhan has found a pair of scissors. The contestants defeated the hedge and packed the cuttings into a green bag. Now it was the time to help Sevan at the back arena.

Madhan and Kash found him surrounded by a sea of cut ivy. Sevan was fighting alone, relentlessly pulling and chopping ivy to win in his challenge, but now he found himself trapped. Madhan and Kash packed the cuttings and joined Sevan in the combat. The ivy was now without its greedy limbs, unable to tangle anything Mrs I didn't want to be tangled.

The last challenge was to defeat the weeds, crouching in the boiling sun. Mrs I, touched by the tributes' display of friendship and teamwork, spared them from the ordeal and the lethal danger. She declared all three winners and rewarded them with food, drinks, and riches.
