The social side of the GoodGym service.
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Swindon.

Today I collected shopping and prescriptions for Mrs G, then dropped off a repeat prescription form. That was the mission, but there’s so much more to these 3 simple tasks, the most important thing seemed to be taking the time to stop and talk. It may well have been chatting on the doorstep, from an appropriate social distance, but you can still have a good chat, share a smile and hopefully brighten someone’s day and help them to feel less lonely. My husband will tell you, I know how to talk, I love a chat! And Mrs G likes to chat so I felt perfectly suited to this task. I look forward to the next task, when a good long chat is on the list!
